 I had organised an Ice Cream themed party for my little boy - he has recently discovered ice cream!! We booked Markes Ices to come round and we were so pleased we did - it certainly made his party.  Marke's Ices helped me out of a tight spot. The ice cream van we had booked previously, let us down 24hrs before our event. Marke came to the rescue, the night before my husbands surprise 65th Birthday Party with over 30 guests to cater for. They were highly professional, courteous and any request (on the ice cream front i.e. extra sherbet, flakes, sauce etc) wasn't any trouble at all. They actually let my husband wreck the van a for a good fifteen minutes, trying to demonstrate his ice cream skills, before the professionals took over. They really were the icing on the cake to a fabulous evening. I would whole-heartedly recommend them to cater for any event.

Faversham is a market town and civil parish in the Swale borough of Kent, England. It has an unusual 18th-century flying spire, known as a crown or corona spire, which is visible for long distances. The interior was restored and transformed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, known for St Pancras Station, the Foreign Office and many college and cathedral buildings, in 1874. Notable features of the church include the reputed tomb of King Stephen (the church is thus one of only a few churches outside London where an English king was interred), nationally important misericords in the quire, a rare medieval painted pillar and a recently installed altar dedicated to Saints Crispin and Crispinian. The church supports a strong choral tradition with a choir of adults and children who sing Anglican matins, evensong and communion.

The town was for many years the favourite of Charles Dickens who lived nearby at Gads Hill Place, Higham, and who based many of his novels in the area. SWEEPS FESTIVAL

JUST HOW LARGE DO WE HAVE TO MAKE THE SIGN FOR MOTORISTS TO SEE

Just how large do you want the signs to be to warn you about children.Surely it should be self explanatory where an ice cream van is trading there is a good chance children will be around and crossing.With the joy of ice cream some children may not always remember their green cross code,and while good professional ice cream operators try to park in streets near the kerb and as safe a place as possible children are children.Time and again motorists speed past to fast without thought or care.Through the industry network we heard yesterday of such an incident in another county where the worst happened,luckily the little chap walked away with shock and bruising however the after effects on many remain.The driver of the car was left shocked and distraught as well as the child plus his bruises.The ice cream vendor who over time builds up very personal relationships with the children on his rounds was left emotionally shocked even if no blame has been directed to him.The vendor ended up not being able to carry on with his daily round and lost his days trading due to stress.
